You are able to send a welcome email to all your new contacts. To do this, we will utilize our tagging system. The idea is to tag all existing contacts with the tag "Sent Welcome Email". Than we can send a communication to all contacts and exclude those with the tag "Sent Welcome Email". This way only new contacts that have been created recently will receive this email. Below is a detailed guide you can follow.
1. Tag all existing contacts with "Sent Welcome Email" Locate "Contacts" on the left-menu inside your Mission Pillars account. Then click on "Actions" at the top right and select "Add or Remove Tags". Select the action "Add Tags" and then search for the tag "Sent Welcome Email". You can press enter to instantly create this tag if it's not on the list. After that click on "Save". This way all your existing contacts will have the tag "Sent Welcome Email".
2. Create a list within contacts Next, go to contacts, and view all contacts. Then click the filter on the top, and filter out all contacts who have the tag "Sent Welcome Email".
Save this list as something like "Contacts who need welcome letter"
3. Create and send your welcome email Locate "Mass Email/Print" on the left-menu inside your Mission Pillars account then click on "Create New Communication". Choose your preferred email editor, you can choose between a drag and drop editor, or a simple text editor.
Choose the list you made as the list of contacts to send to.
Once you have finished building your email make sure to save it as a new template, so you can use it in future welcome emails.
4. Auto tag contacts as the email is sent When you are ready to send click on "Configure and Send Email". After that click on "Tag contacts based on actions taken below" and toggle on "Sent" and select the tag "Sent Welcome Email". This ensures that you add this tag to any contact you send this email. This way when you need to send a welcome email communication again the contacts that already received it will have the tag so they will be excluded.
After that click on "Save and Confirm Email" and then "Send Email".
You can repeat this process again, for example every you can send this communication on a weekly basis, this way every new contact you add will receive the welcome email. |
